What is Direct Primary Care?
In the Direct Primary Care Model, your provider is dedicated solely to you, free from the constraints of insurance companies. This allows them to focus on your health without being burdened by time-consuming, excessive paperwork. As a result, your provider has the freedom to spend more quality time with you and offer support even outside of office hours. The level of personalized care you receive when insurance isn't dictating the practice is truly remarkable. Plus, with no co-pays or deductibles, many patients discover that being a member actually saves them money.
What can I expect as a patient?
You can look forward to shorter wait times, extended appointments, and around-the-clock access to your provider, including virtual visits and after-hours appointments that accommodate your schedule. Say goodbye to rushed visits and long waits for an appointment. You can reach your provider anytime, whether by phone, social media, email, or text. As a member, you'll also benefit from in-office lab services and enjoy free or highly discounted procedures.
Are long term contracts required?
At WeCare Clinic, there are no long-term contracts. Your patient agreement is month-to-month, ensuring flexibility. We’re committed to keeping you happy and healthy, and we hope to build a lasting relationship with you. However, if you feel we’re not the right fit, you’re free to cancel with just a 30-day written notice.
How does DPC work if I have insurance?
We recommend that all our patients maintain some form of catastrophic coverage for situations beyond our scope of care, such as emergencies, surgeries, or specialist treatments. Direct Primary Care pairs seamlessly with high-deductible plans, health shares, and catastrophic coverage options.
If I have insurance, will it cover my membership fee?
Most traditional insurance policies do not cover membership fees for Direct Primary Care. However, many health cost-sharing programs offer a discount on your premium if you are enrolled in a DPC membership.
How do we offer the extended time and care for our patients?
In the traditional medical system, a typical primary care provider manages a patient load of 2,000 to 3,000 individuals. At our practice, our providers limit their patient panels to around 500 to ensure that each patient receives personalized, attentive care.
What if my provider goes on vacation?
If your provider plans to be out of the office for more than three days, all members will be notified via email. During this time, other providers in the office will be available to handle any messages or in-office needs for all WeCare Clinic members.
How can I contact my provider after hours?
We understand that illness and injuries don’t always occur during regular office hours. If you need to order a medication refill or schedule an appointment, you can email our provider directly or leave a voicemail anytime. For non-urgent questions that shouldn’t wait until the next day, members can send a text message to our provider and receive a prompt response. And for urgent issues after hours, our provider is just a phone call away!
Outside of paying for membership, medicine, or labwork/x-rays, are there other fees I might have to pay?
Nearly all routine procedures performed by our provider come at no additional cost to members. However, there are a few exceptions for more complex procedures. Additionally, as a benefit of membership, our provider will see sick or injured visiting family members for a low one-time office visit fee, which is determined by the visit's complexity and time requirements.
How do I cancel my membership?
While we hope all our members stay with us long-term, we understand that life events can sometimes lead you in a different direction. If you need to cancel your membership, we ask for a 30-day notice. To initiate the cancellation process, simply email, call, or text our office, and we'll assist you every step of the way.
Please note that if you decide to return to us for the exceptional care we provide, we can’t guarantee you’ll have the same provider, and a $200 re-enrollment fee will apply.
